Hi everyone, I'm a chippy by trade and all my 'special' tools have been to date Mafell, however, I'm starting to do more decorating/dry lining tasks for which a Hoover is imperative. I've come to the conclusion I'd like my decorating and dry lining set up to be Festool, and to aid that a friend gave me his old Festool CT MINI hoover, however, there are a few things I need a hand with as it's a model.
I'll list them below:
- I believe I can [ with some modification] attach the later model cord wrap to the back of the Hoover to help with the cord storage.https://www.sparepartsworld.co.uk/product/FES203722
- I believe if I purchase a new systainer box [appreciate it has to be a size that fits the top of the hoover] will lock into the top of the hoover and of course the new Systainer 3 will quickly and easily work off the new systainer. Hope that makes sense.
- The nozzle end of the hoover i'm stuck with, the hose screws into an adaptor [hose seems to be D27], and then a rubber piece clicks into that, which tapers but seems to fit into all my sanders and tools [crevice and carpet brush tools seem to be D37 in size fitting hence the rubber adaptor to step up in size]. The problem is the rubber adaptor part comes out of the hose adaptor really easily meaning it becomes very tiresome to use. From lots of googling and Festool cataloge online I can't work out the parts I need to have a nice snug fitting hose end that doesn't keep pulling apart.
Hoping the above makes sense, I value any help offered and show some photos below, any further advice, opinions, or upgrades you suggest would be most welcome.
Kind regards, Dom
