I expected much more from Festool

After only ten cuts my TS55 is dangerously arching from inside the motor and the woman on the service desk, has told me they can not replace it. That is so bad.

I honestly expected more :(

Gutted.

I expect the mods to delete this thread - so don't worry folks you can also find it on twitter and instagram and Facebook

 
They are covered under warranty, but still seems somewhat of a distress.
If you said Bogan instead of xxxx, I would ask where in Australia are you?

There is a UK main office.
 
Its the fobbing off on the phone that really gets me.. They are in breach of uk law and they don't care. Trades descriptions act - section 6

On the phone - on hold - and they juts hung up :(
 
"Mongrel" is another Australian prefix.
Full term is 'DMC' which is not related to the rap group, but rather an acronym.
I suppose either way it is 'Tricky'.

 
This seems odd! When did you buy it? If it's in warranty (3 years)  then it should obvs be fixed! You've obviously been unlucky with your calls, keep at it, I've had good service from festool UK. 

Your comment about the mods is rude un-necessary! They do not work for festool, and don't act like that anyway.
 
That's a real shame the machine isn't working well.

Firstly though, the young lady most likely isn't a member of this forum, so would you mind editing your post to remove her name, pretty please.  [smile]

Did you buy it from us, we'll swap it for you and then take it up with Festool.

If not, call your dealer, without quibble, within 15 days it can be returned for a full refund.

Older than 15 days? Then a little more polite persuasion may be needed. Let me know if you need help.

Thanks for your constructive replies folks..

I have been in touch with the dealer and he was very helpful.

I guess everything is in place and the service will be satisfactory.

I just have had experience with other companies that virtually bend over backwards when things go wrong.

It will not be deleted - but I would ask that names are removed and will ask this to be done by the modes. The reason as I have said before is that they have no direct reply.
