Align top of apron to top of leg

I am building the attached chair.  My problem is accurately aligning the top of the aprons to the top of the front legs.  The aprons are 1-1/2 X 3/4" (actually 40X20mm).  I've centered the dominoes in the end grain of the apron.  How do I cut the leg mortise so that the top of the apron and the top of the leg are aligned?

I've aligned the rungs on the back "by eye" with good success.  I this how to do it on the legs?  I feel that getting these aligned exactly is important to the strength of the seat (what's the best way to attach a solid wood seat?)

It probably depends on how you got them centered in the end grain of the aprons... Because if you registered off the TOP of the apron with the fence or pins on the domino then you would just use that same method to register off the top of the front leg so you'd have the same distance on both from the top edge, making them flush (by using the same depth stop adjustment for the fence as you did on the apron +/- the amount of offset you want between the leg and apron)

Are your dominos standing on their side in the apron or are they laying flat (in relation to the ground when the apron is in the orientation it would be when in installed). If they're standing on their sides and you didn't use a pin/paddle to register them (which means you probably used the fence and a pencil mark) then probably the easiest way is to put a domino in the apron mortise and hold it where the domino is against the side of the front leg with the tops of the apron and leg flush... then just mark the center of where the leg mortise needs to be and use the depth stop to set the reveal/offset. Eye balling is pretty stinking accurate as long as you register the fence or pins off the corresponding surface.

If that makes any sense at all...
