If I translated it correctly, I think the method that worked for him is putting the puck in a benchvise and cutting it with a scraperblade on an oscilating multitool.

I thin you got the gist of it.  This was Google's translation:

My guess is that since the scraper blade is toothless and sharp, it just works its way through with decent pressure behind it and never clogs.
