Alternative to KAPEX 260x2,5x30 WZ/FA64 – 494606 (Special saw blade) ?

Blade doesn't come cheap  [eek], now what does for FT  [big grin]

I need to cut some plastic/ PVC tubes and some more allu.

Anybody have a alternative blade for the KAPEX (EU please)?

They have shippingcosts listed for the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, Germany and France, but they also say they ship to other countries in Europe, but you have to contact them for an estimate.

If you just need to cut a little bit you can use the standard blade without problems.

If you are cutting complex aluminum extrusions like a door weatherstrip be careful of the blade catching on an edge and grabbing the piece. Ask me how I know.

I believe some recommend reversing the blade to cut aluminum but check that out first.

I am more comfortable cutting aluminum with a grinder and cut off wheel and then sanding to the line.

For aluminum I purchased & use the Kapex blade 494607.

For PVC pipe & tube, I just reverse the standard Kapex blade 494604.
