Amazon Prime Day 2023

The wrenches in the installer set are flat.  Maybe it is because I do more mechanical work than woodworking, but a wrench needs to be offset, not flat.

No it doesn't. You need both.

I have never seen the open end offset. The ring end with offset is possible, but in case of a ratcheting function (like the Festools have), you need either a lever to flip the direction of the ratched... or not have the offset. The Festool doesn't have such a lever, so no offset.

All of their own uses. I have the flat ratcheting variant (Wera Joker), an angled but not offset set and an offset and angled set. I use them all. Sometimes you need two wrenches of the same size anyway. Sometimes the offset version doesn't even fit and sometimes the bigger head of the ratcheting variant doesn't fit either.

Agreed [member=8955]Coen[/member], these were a second set that I purchased for just that reason. Sometimes you just need two of the same thing. I have a larger set of both fractional and metric combination wrenches, that are my main ones. I also keep a few that were just for a specific task, bought individually, and stored near the place where I use them.
The installers set is kind of a back-up for those "needing two" situations. I'm not a huge fan of ratcheting wrenches, but it has come in handy a few times.
I like the flat style with the sprag much better than the flip-lever ones. There is way less back-drag in the first place and you never have to strain for that extra little bit to get to the next tooth, that the clicking type have.
