Amazon has had next day delivery for quite a while now.
Some items I’ve been getting on same day delivery, which is quite a feat since their nearest depot is 2-1/2 hours away.
In many instances their overnight delivery is just as useful as same day delivery.
Lately about half my next day deliveries are now overnight deliveries.
An overnight delivery, as defined by Amazon, means the package will arrive between 4:00a.m. And 8:00 a.m., though lately Amazon has been calling it “before 8:00 a.m.
Amazon is taking over the old IBM facility as a new shipping depot and that location is just 10 minutes away if you are traveling before 8:00 a.m. Later in the day that number could swell to 15 to 20 minutes.
In most cases for me, before 8:00 a.m. the following day is just as useful as “between 6:00 and 10:00 p.m. the same day.
