I would like to apologize to those who got caught in a pretty big "storm" that hit Festool Junkie a while back.  I can make excuses all day, but that really isn't my style.  We did not deliver as many of you are used to us delivering.  Again, I can go through the how and the why of it, but much of it is of personal nature.  Our business is still moving forward, although with this economy, (as many of you are feeling the effects and affects), movement is not as fast as we would like it to be.  But "Less Fear, and More Hope" would be a Mantra for all of us to consider in these times.

Again, I apologize to those who I was unable to deliver to in the fashion that you are accustomed from Festool Junkie.

I wish all of you a prosperous Fall / Winter, and hope that your are booked out as far as you would like to be.

Sincerely,

Timmy C

PS.  For all of those who supported me, and know me personally, there is a tremendous attitude of gratitude to have had / and have your support through these rather arduous times.

Timmy, glad to hear that things are turning around.  I'd venture to say that these are tough times for a lot of us.

Timmy, that's all well and good, but I placed an order with you nearly six weeks ago, you charged my card, and I've still heard nothing. So while I appreciate the apology, I'd be more interested in you responding to my query about the order itself. Thanks.

Timmy,

You can post all the apologies on this website, and talk about making changes for the better all you want, but if you don't actually make the changes, then nothing changes.

For what its worth... I recently placed an order with Timmy and he came through 100%.  Hope this is a sign that he's over the hump now!

I have had the same experience with Festool Junkie.

First ordered my CT 33 back in June, but received no up dates.  I had to inquire by phone, and was told that CT 33's were getting hard to find.  Knowing that the local Woodcraft has it in stock, I wondered.  A call to Festool USA proved that Tim was correct, CT 33s were getting more scarce due to the release of the CT 36s in a couple of months.  With that, I called back to Tim and had him swap my order with the CT 36, and I was willing to wait the extra couple of months.  On October 2, I called Tim to remind him of my order, and was told I was not forgotten, and my order should ship in 7 to 10 days.  11 days later, I called back and was told that they were getting their order by the end of the week and my shipment would be out by Tuesday, (Nov. 2.).  Still no word of shipment,  I have no clue if I ever will get it shipped my way, the CT 36 and shipping has already been paid for back in June.

Tim is a great guy to talk to, I would like to continue to be his customer since he is a cool dude, I like his presentation of the products, and his activity in the forums.  I have been a long time troller here, first time registering and posting.  Also my local Woodcraft in Honolulu is a major rip-off, so I would more than happy to be his customer, but more attention to email responses and upfront answers to our orders would be great.

I feel for him and offer my condolences to the passing of his father.  I know what he is going through after loosing my father.  Hopefully, they get their orders straight, and we see some emails with tracking numbers.

Thanks for reading all. [crying]

Aloha SwitchGear - sorry to hear about your issues.  My recommendation is to cancel your order with Festool Junkie as I do not believe you will get your CT36 any time soon.  You WILL have to follow up many times to try to get your card credited back.  I've gone through this so we feel your pain.  In all likelihood you will need to contact your CC company to dispute the charge.  There are plenty of great FESTOOL retailers.  I used Bob Marino after my ordeal with Tim, and he was great.  Last I heard CT36's are in stock and available NOW!

I agree with MTRANGER that if his behavior doesn't change, then the apology is all for not.  Besides, I thought the "Ammends Long Overdue..." was the lamest attempt at an apology I've ever read!!!  Would have been better just to say SORRY I DIDN'T DELIVER ON YOUR ORDER AS MY COMPANY HAD ADVERTISED, BUT I DO APPRECIATE YOU LETTING ME USE YOUR MONEY TO TRY TO KEEP MY BUSINESS AFLOAT!!!  AND OH, BY THE WAY, TO GET YOUR CREDIT BACK, PLEASE CALL YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY TO LET THEM KNOW WE COULDN'T DELIVER AND YOU SHOULD HAVE THE SITUATION CLEARED UP IN AN ADDITIONAL 4-6 WEEKS...  Call a Spade a Spade if that is your style Mr. Festool Junkie.

In fact as I read updates on this forum, and read about more crap like this, it still makes me angry.  [mad]  Everything that Tim has done is unethical and he is basically stealing money from unsuspecting folks.  I'm surprised Festool USA hasn't cut him off by now.  But he's probably into them for a bunch of dough so they have no choice but to continue to work with him...

Good Luck!

Thank you for your response KRWong.  I will give Tim another chance, then if my order does not come to fruition, I will unfortunately have to get my funds returned.

Thank you for referring me to Bob Marino.  I will be looking at his website.

Cheers, and Aloha!  [smile]

Switchgear---
I recommend getting with Bob Marino or one of the other posting dealers here. Ask about shipping costs. I have dealt with Bob since he started and spent a lot of money! Don't know if shipping $ will be a factor. Amazon is now a retailer and might be a lower cost way to get shipping. Just don't expect any personal assistance or custom orders. Dealers like Bob will offer lots of ordering and packaging options that you sure will not find thru Amazon and his customer service is second to no one!!!

Thank you for your response Peter.  I will weigh my options for future purchases.

We have a Woodcraft here, but the thing with them is they do not follow any of the pricing that is in the Woodcraft catalogs and flyers.  They overcharge all their items and have very poor service.  Plus the owner is a snob too, which makes it worse.  It is frustrating.

Again, thank you for all the replies.

Aloha!  [cool]

Yea you guys out there in the middle of the Pacific get hammered on shipping and is probably why WoodCraft has different pricing. That is why I mentioned it. Good luck!
