Reminded me of  festools sword saw.
Except  the  TPC 165  can do plunge cuts. The price  is  about £1850  plus VAT in the UK.

On topic: yes, interesting - especially as it can do plunge cuts.

Trumpf makes really expensive laser cutters. My local shop bought one last year for $820,000.
