Hello. I'm new to this forum, although I did use it for research into buying a new Festool sander and dust collector! Many thanks for the posts people have made regarding those tools. It certainly helped me make up my mind on what to get.

I make furniture for a living (well, at least I'm trying to make a living!) and you can see my work at www.peterloh.com. Mainly wood with some metal and glass thrown in here and there. Its a mix of commissioned work and other things that I just had to see and be able to touch. Hope you like it!

Nice work, Peter!  The curved lines and careful choice of woods certainly sets your work apart from the norm.  I especially like the bed design.  The graceful arcs and the inturned leg detail adds lightness to the foot of what all too often is a clunky piece.  It nicely matches the drape of the comforter off the edges of the bed.  Welcome to the group.  I look forward to seeing more of your designs and work.

Thanks for the welcome! I just became a new dad on Monday evening, so I'll try to check in, but for the moment I'm just trying to enjoy it all and catch some zzz's when I can!

Pete,

As others have said, nice work and welcome....oh yeah, congratualtions on becoming a father!

Peter,

Very, VERY  nice work!!!  It's a lovely combination of art, style and quality.  Simply spectacular.

More importantly, you received a compliment from the American "Godfather of Custom Furniture" - Jerry Work.  You exemplify what a very few craftsmen have accomplished - that unique combination of the taste, style, quality and function that takes the woodworking artform to the next level.  Note to Jerry - you've got serious competition!    8)

Welcome to forum!

Regards,

Dan.

p.s., being the "Picture Cop", you realize that's it's my duty to inform you that pics are require with every post to prove that you've actually accomplished something.  I'll let you slide this once because of your spectacular web site.  But you gotta post pics!  ;D

Man, sleep every chance you get. I've got two. I expect I might be able to sleep sometime ten or twelve years from now. Matthew? I think we could have a gallery for kid pix, there's enough of us. Eiji, You definitely need to put up some more pictures of your daughter, she's crazy cute.

I don't have children, but that's OK.  How about a discussion in the "About Our Members" area devoted to family shots?  Maybe those of us who just have four-legged kids can post there too!  I can also create a zone in the gallery.  What does everyone think?

Thanks,
Matthew

Peter,
Congrats!!!  Very nice work. I enjoyed your website but a constructive criticism is I may..."enlarge the type for old people who have old eyes but want to read every bit."
