An upcoming poll - a FogFest

Frank,

If I recall, internet access isn't available on your private island.  If everyone on the forum comes, nobody can post.  What is a moderator to do then? [poke] [poke] [poke] [poke] [poke] [poke]

Chicago;

Not for the obvious reason that I live here.  I travel for a living, so anywhere in the lower 48 is good for me, and I'll be the first in line WHEREVER this shin-dig takes place.

But the city is a major airline hub, easy and fairly cheap to get to from anywhere, lots, lots, and lots of hotels, dining spots, sites to see, and probably a dealer or two that could jump in and participate.  ( also just a couple of hours , or so, from Lebanon.  Easy for the guys from Festool to come on up and put on a couple of shows.)

Dan

I am so embarrassed.  Dan is so totally right.  Chicago is a great possibility. Dan,  could you investigate if there is a train that goes from Chicago to Indy.  Imagine 500 Foggers trapped on a train with hours to talk!

Chicago would work well for me.

Well.....    In a former life I did cook for a dozen in-laws.  I suppose that I'm ready for a 1000  friendly Foggers!!!

Dan

I'm in for Chicago too. Two major airports, many Foggers in the area, close to Lebanon, cheap train transport around the city, too many sites to see to mention. Good weather (on occasion).

We could start small, see who can attend, work out the many details, take alot of pics and videos to share with those who could not attend. And then try to organize a larger event.

I like this idea, if we have a smallish group we might be able to hold the event at one of the Festool facilities (assuming they would have us).
