Angle adapter

I'm an electrician, doing mainly domestic (household) work
I've been converted to festool since buying sortainers which have changed my life. I just organise my stuff and carry it in which saves numerous trips to my van.

I'm looking to condense my tool inventory. Some jobs I do like a complete rewire require a lot of angle drilling through joists and I have a good mains powered angle drill to do that work. Other works require a rechargeable angle drill and I alternated between a 10.8v bosch screwdriver with a 16mm spade bit and a 14v de walt. I use either an 18v makita combi drill for misc drilling and screwing or my 10.8v bosch. For heavier duty work such as sinking boxes I have a 24v SDS or mains SDS.

I'm looking to replace my 10.8v bosch, 14v de walt angle drill and 18v combi so I only have to carry one piece of equipment to do all this work. Would the festool T15 be able to handle all this work. I'm particularly looking for the ability to drill 16-20mm holes through 2 inch joists.

I don't have this drill (yet) but i would think it would be perfect for you, especially if you get the full set with all the chucks.  I did get a demo of one & it seemed to have loads of power.  Really nice drill & so light.  I would think i will have one quite soon.

The new T15+3 seems to be very well-regarded, and I don't see any problem with what you propose. See the thread T15 3 Up for Auger Bits? for some experiences of using Festool drills with large bits of different types. Also have a look at C12 & paddle bit and Brice's review of the drill.

Welcome to the forum! The T15 is perfect for your needs. I did a lengthy review (see the link in Forrest's post) where I used my two T15 drills on a remodeling job. It's an outstanding drill. Here's a picture that should be of some help. Let me know if you have any specific questions.

Since a few months I use the T15 and to my opnion, your question should be: can my wrists and arms handle the T15. I was really surprised by the power of the drill when drilling 3/4" and 1" holes. It felt like a kicking mule.  ;D
