Angle Chuck: AU-43 FFP clicking noise on counter clockwise rotation?

Hi guys,
Might I ask a quick favor of you?

I just purchased an AU-43 FFP on eBay (the angle-adaptor for PDC/DRC/etc..)
When I turn it right way round (standard drilling/screwing direction) it feels and sounds normal.
Going counter clockwise it makes a louder clicking noise, like a gear or something.

Is this normal?
