Passes won't be necessary. We'll have a registration table at the entrance, but you won't need a pass.

I'm not sure as there is a conflict with this date - (friend's wedding) but if I do go, I'll take you up on that offer.

Well I will finally get to meet some more of the Foggers from the other side of the Mississippi!  [big grin] [big grin] [big grin]

Those burgers are huge. The quadruple bypass is something like 12000 calories. They cook their food the old way in pure lard (like when I was a kid)

Yea I know but once in a while wont be bad

great to see you in person finally buddy :>D

Tom Silva and Kevin O'Connor from This Old House will be there. Also, although he won't be there in an official capacity that we can really promote, Mike Holmes Jr. will be there as well.

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! The first 500 pre-registered attendees will receive a 3.5 m sleeved hose (500276).

Be sure to register at festoolconnect.com.

@Tyler how will we know if we are one of the lucky ones?

We've had a couple of questions about this. So it's based on being among the first 500 to show up that day ... but you have to have pre-registered. To be honest, I'd be surprised if we have more than 500 pre-registered attendees. Although I definitely can't guarantee anything, if you pre-register and attend you have a pretty good likelihood of getting the hose.

Oddly enough I happen to be in town for exactly that weekend for a professional trade conference of my dayjob so I registered just in case I can skip some sessions of my show to visit Connect.

What is the suggested method of taxi transport around LV? Uber? Something else? It's easy enough to get a cab at the hotel, but getting the return ride was horrible last time I was in LV in 2006, but that predated all cab apps and Uber so wondering how is it now?

I do have data roaming available, though I won't be using it much as it costs an arm and a leg in the US.

You will not have a problem getting around LV.
There are all sorts of different methods of transportation.
Uber is popular here in the States, taxis are everywhere in Vagas and both are affordable to use.
Some of the Hotels offer free service drop ya off and pick ya up.

The hardest part youll have is picking a good place to eat.
There are way to many of them. I like the Heart Attack grill biggest burgers you admost have ever seen. Cooked the old fashion way in lard, same with their fries. Plus the waitresses dress like nurses.if you remember my burger babe, she is a waitress there.

The hotels like the Rio and Texas have very good buffets.

Even Chef Ramsey has some resteraunts there. i think a he has 2 or 3 in Ceasars Palace alone.

One thing about Vegas its 24/7 anything you want anytime you want.

Hope this helps

[member=10147]jobsworth[/member]  are you saying that even Uber is expensive in LV; I was thinking of using it when I am there for the connect. What about Lyft?

[member=163]vkumar[/member]

I see where you thought I said it was expensive.

My Bad I corrected the grammer and said they (transportation) is affordable.

Thanks for letting me know so I could correct what i wrote.

Remember its a town that is built on tourist and they cater to the tourist.

Also I did say that maybe the Hotel may offer free shuttle service, take and pick up. Depends on the Hotel.

Especially if you have someone else share the cost. Maybe there are other FOGGERs staying at the same Hotel you are.

Personally Im driving there and staying at my BILs in N. Vegas.

Now if your looking for a place to eat, I already mentioned a couple, there is also a Official Hofbrau Haus there that sells good beer and German food and HB Haus LV liter mugs. Like the ones they sell at the Original HB Haus in Munich.

I'm staying at Caesar's Palace for the 6 days I'm there so mostly I'll probably eat something along the strip and we have conference gala dinners and sponsor food available so lets see if I can squeeze a heart attack into my schedule  [cool]

Last time I never really left the Strip, but what else is in Vegas to see?

I've done the hotels with roller coasters & Stratosphere Tower amusements last time and wondered through all the casinos on the Strip and seen the Pirate Show and the Dancing Water Show, etc.

I'm thinking of getting tickets to a Cirque du Soleil show or two if they are still running (haven't checked yet) and was wondering is there anything worth seeing Downtown outside of your suggested burger join?

Where would one go for "normal" clothes shopping on a budget in Vegas? Is there a Macy's or similar there? On the strip the services seemed to cater to jackpot winners and I'm not on such a budget  [sad] and no supermarkets in sight.

Ney any thought about a Fog members meet up at Las Vegas ?
OK there is a few more things to see and do in Las Vegas than Lebanon, Indiana at night LOL !!!!
But last year it was Fun to meet Fog people face to face.

They have a outlet mall there you’ll have a good time shopping there. No sure on the directions to get them but they are not that far off the strip, not walking distance but a nice selection of different clothes manufacturers
