Announcing Festool Connect 2018: Las Vegas on October 27

I want to echos Don's sentiment.  A big thank you to the Festool organizers and presenters.  Really enjoyed all the demos.  Great opportunity to reconnect with Sedge and Steve Bace the two trainers.

Great presentation by Tom Silva and Kevin OConnor about the history of This Old House and current projects and their support of keeping the technical trades alive. Got to shake hands with Tom.

And I specially have to be thankful for winning the big raffle, the Shaper Origin .  I lost Sam's business card . So if Sam or anyone else associated with Shaper please pm me. [member=57769]TylerC[/member]  if you can help.

I sent you Sam's email via PM.  We were standing next to each other when getting raffle tickets and missed that Shaper by 3 numbers ... my buddy by one .. oh well.  Would have saved me 2,500 bucks.  Sam cut me out a template I use to route slots in the MFT table.  I checked it when I got home and it was spot on.  I can use a 30mm guide bushing and 20mm bit to route a 20mm slot, or use a pattern bit to make a 30mm slot.  Works great for other clamps that don't fit into dog holes.  Anyhow .. I'm ordering the Shaper .. unless you want to give me yours?

Thank you for the information.  Seems like a great product.  No, I am keeping mine so you will have to order one. [big grin]

Thank you to [member=57769]TylerC[/member]  and everyone else at Festool for a great time!  It was fun and informative.  It is also great to see the evolutions of the event and all the new faces.  I wish that I had gotten a chance to meet more of the Foggers that were there.  Next year perhaps!

Peter

Thank you to everyone who came to Vegas! We had an absolute BLAST! It humbles us that people were willing to make the journey to hang out with us. We're already starting discussions about next year's event!

Absolutely Unscientific, Non-Binding, Unsolicited Survey: What city should Festool Connect 2019 take place in? (Don't name the city you live it!)

I wish I had been able to make it!

The most obvious choice for next year is the Nation's Capital!

I think it's time to bring it back to the east coast!

Congrats on that!  I hope you'll be posting as you get familiar with it!

Thanks [member=21249]RKA[/member] .  Now I'll actually have to clean up my garage so I can do some work!!!

Well [member=57769]TylerC[/member] now that you asked:

Portland, OR
Atlanta, GA
Jacksonville, FL
Austin, TX
Lebanon, IN

Peter

Some where on the west coast, Santa Rosa then participates can enjoy the wine country.
Or Seattle.
My $0.02
Rick.

The venue location should be based on convenience of airports.  Las Vegas , Chicago, Atlanta have major hub airports.
Of these Las Vegas has clearly the most to offer in terms of post show activities. Plus it is also very well connected to every where with fairly inexpensive flights with airlines such as Southwest that offer 2 free checked bags (came in very useful last weekend for hauling my raffle prize  [big grin])
