After such a great experience, I felt it was necessary to share it with all of you.
I bought LS130 earlier for 30% off on Recon and just bought a Planex for the 40% discount (side note: seriously i don't think either one was ever used, they look brand freakin new!!! thanks Festool
)
These are both sanders that i don't expect to use a ton and i didn't really want to invest huge amounts of money into an assortment of grits for each sander.. most of Festools offerings are in large quantities only and i would have had to settle for either only a few grits or spend a ton of coin on a a full assortment of full boxes..
This is where Tom Bellemare comes in!
First ill say that my initial email went out to him at 9:23 on a Monday night, by 10:27 i had a response! that same night we shared a few emails back and forth explaining usage and ideas for the assortments!! talk about response time
Tom was very patient and really just wanted to make sure i was getting the best kit for my money, he had real world user advice to share with me and excellent suggestions. There are no minimum limits on quantities or paper types that i know of, its truly whatever you want!!
His pricing is incredibly fair and worth every penny. He puts a lot of time into helping design an assortment to fit your needs and then carefully counting out everything, packaging and mailing it promptly.. This is truly an example of a dealer going above and beyond what they are required to do. In Toms case he is happy to do it because he understands the importance of having the proper grits to get the most out of your sanders and wants to make sure everyone has access to that!
Below are the assortments i settled on, they arrived to my door just a few days after we finalized everything and were packaged very nicely in neat stacks. With these assortments i feel i can tackle anything i might encounter and wont run out of any particular grit too quickly..
