[size=13pt]When I was around twelve I remember the excitement of buying my first Golf Club, an Arnold Palmer No 2 Wood. Still have it in the bag.

Very sad news.  I met him once (in a very loose sense) at his tournament at Bay Hill.  Shook my hand along with everyone else that was there. 
 
Yeah very sad.

He was supposedly well a few weeks ago when he turned 87. There are obviously many reasons this is sad, but as silly as it sounds I just feel sorry for him dying so close to the Ryder Cup, that I can only assume he was looking forward to watching with friends and family.
