(Another) KAPEX question

What is the mode of failure for the Kapex motor?
I noticed blue electrical arcing yesterday on my Kapex EB (7/18 build).
The arcing is visible inside the motor housing through the vents.
Is this normal?

I attempted to attach a short video of the condition, but the forum only allows photos.
In the photo, you can see the blue/white light inside the motor housing — that’s the arcing I’m referring to. [attachimg=1]

I stepped into my shop, turned on my Kapex, and saw such kind of arcing as well. Mine is EB, 7 years old, working with no issues since bought.

That is normal for /any/ brushed tool. It does not really tell you anything.

Given KAPEX brushes are safety-protected /they should stop working before totally dead/ it does not even help to assess brush replacement time.
