It's nice.  However there are some nice tools involved this process too.  I think most of us could do the same thing with the same tools.

But it's an inferior design.  Eyeballing a mark?  I don't think so.  The Dowelmax is much better - not as pretty but better.

Plus, seems like this guy is good enough with his CNC router that he could rig up jigs to do his doweling on it.
