Another micro adjust option for the CMS-OF

Hi there,

So I've always been pretty pleased with my CMS-OF (and Basis 5a before that), but felt it did really lack a micro adjust. In some other topics in this thread other people came up with some pretty smart and/or cool solutions. Like with the Woodpeckers micro adjust, however as I own a BASIS table instead of CMS that wouldn't work as the Kapex extension isn't available for the BASIS tables and it adds to the footprint of the table. Not ideal for me as I have to pack up every time I'm done. I also saw a smart setup with a Rockler micro adjust, however it also featured the Kapex extension.

That's when I got to thinking, one thing my BASIS table has and the CMS doesn't is a t-track on the top part of the table. So that makes for interesting possibilities. UJK and Kreg both make micro adjusters that fit in the t-track, however the Kreg version was hard to come by over here. So I ordered a set of the UJK micro adjusters and with some tinkering found a working solution pretty quickly.

The UJK micro adjusters came with 2 long metal bars (not pictured on the Axminster site) with a threaded M8 hole in them. I took apart the UJK micro adjusters which consist of two parts and put the rod of the first part in the threaded M8 hole of the metal bar. I then drilled another hole on the other side of the bar and connected that with a M6 bolt and wingnut to the CMS fence. Thanks to the wingnut I can easily loosen it to reposition the fence. Once the UJK micro adjust and wing nut is tightened down I can micro adjust the fence.

So might be an interesting solution for other CMS-OF owners with a BASIS table! They are for sale over at Axminster >http://www.axminster.co.uk/ujk-technology-fine-fence-adjusters-for-router-tables-506247
