In the mailshot sent out to UK users recently there are details of another version of the CT26 vacuum - The CTH26.
In Europe, the vacs are coded according to dust category:
CTL (the lowest rated); same as the US CT models;
CTM; for finer particles. Used to be the highest rated category Festool did, until now;
CTH; New vac for hazardous materials.
The H category vacs are rated for carcinogenic and pathogenic dusts, including lead, cadmium, nickel, asbestos, mould and mineral fibres.
If this comes to the US, it'll probably end all the discussions about which vac meets those pesky lead paint regs....
The bags and filters are quite pricey though, even for Festool - filters are £48.65 each, and the bags £39.60 for a pack of 3 (not 5!) - all excluding taxes.
