For those members in the New York, New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania area, Force Machinery, on Route 22 in Union, is closing their doors forever!  :'(

They are a Festool, Sawstop and CMT dealer and have been in business for 63 years, 57 at their current location.  It seems the economic times, competition and perhaps the rent on the prime real estate, is what forced them to make the decision they did.

Everything is on sale, some items up to 25% off.  If you're thinking you can get a new Sawstop, or perhaps the latest toy in green, think again.  I was second in line when they opened their doors at 11:00 and the guy in front of me bought the last Sawstop they had.  Most of the Festools were already picked clean.  I think word got out last week and that is why the pickin's were so sparse. :(  I was told someone came in on Monday night and bought $800.00 of Festool sandpaper and someone else spent more than 500.00 on Kreq screws.  About the only thing I got was an MFS700 for a decent price (I needed the extra rails), a a few other items.  Oh, as of 12:00 this afternoon, they still had a Kapex for 1325.00 which I think... included the MFT/Kapex.

That said, there are deals to be made.  Some good, some great while others were just okay.    BTW, Cash only!  They made no mention of this requirement and caught quite a number of people of guard, myself included.

Those that know the place, know it's a terrific "toy store" and I never missed an opportunity to visit when I visited my son not far from their location.

Farce Machinery, may they rest in peace and be remembered fondly for long time.

Cash only  [eek]  No way that was going in the hipper then eh  [bite tongue]

The guy in front of that snagged the Sawstop brought an envelope with $1,000.00 in cash and gave them that as the down payment and said he would return this evening with the balance.  While in line to pay for his other items, he called his wife and asked her to go to the bank and withdraw the rest.

If I had been able to get one, I would have called JR and ask her to go to the Credit Union to withdraw whatever was necessary.  I too would have put some money down, not a grand though, and would have arranged to return on Saturday with the balance.  Along with towing a trailer to haul the toy away. ;)
