Yes we had a little rain. Some of the boxes collected a little water. The truck stereo is fine. Kapex no rust.
The hilti bits got a little rust.
Dried every thing out wiped off the poison oak and put them back in service.
I got real lucky.

Was the local constabulary able to get any prints off the tools before you did your cleaning and rust removal?

No dusting was done on either visits.
On the reporting day he looked for prints on the stereo cables and plugs, didn't see any.  He said plastic (most interiors) were bad print material due to its rough surface. Any thing on the exterior had dampness which lifts print oils.
The recovered stuff wasn't dusted either due to it being "stored" outside.

Not sure if the local deputies have/ can dust or they need to call in another deputy.
I wasn't quite impress with them. On report day he viewed the truck form the passenger side only both cab and bed.  The thugs enter from the driver side. The Kapex lives behind the driver side rear seat in a extend cab truck. Never went over to the chicken coop / feathers.
I talked with a lot of neighbors. Some didn't didn't get hit, some did, or some pass on names that got hit. Most thought they were the only ones  I encourage them to report it.
I quests they're a short staff .......
