Antistatic Hose 22mm for Sanding questions...

Thanks for the pics, scholar. You are one of the first people I see here who have the 22 mm hose, it is pretty rare.

But are you sure the 22 mm hose came standard, and brand new, with your CT Mini? From which year is your Mini? I have a CT mini from 2006 and it has the 27 mm hose with the angled connector. I'm pretty convinced it always came with the 27 mm hose. Or better said, I was, until I read your post. I'm not sure anymore.

But I was also pretty sure the CT Mini's hose always had the angled connector. In your second pic, where you show the vac ends of the hoses, which one is the 22 and which the 27 mm hose?

Yes, it came as standard; yes, it was brand new.  I cannot remember when - probably before 2006 - it has done sterling service.

In the pic the right angle connector is the mini one - the connector takes a 27mm hose as the 22mm hose tapers out to 27mm as previously explained.  I had not noticed before, but the 22mm hose has more ridges than the 27mm.  It is a rather complex design for such a simple thing, so I imagine it is not cheap to make.

Cheers

Gives the 22mm hose me more flexibility when using my sanders, dts/rts 400 and ets 125?
I'm using a ctl mini with a 27mm hose right now.

How to lower the suction power? when i'm sanding with my rts 400 sometimes I wanna have a lower suction power, the lowest setting on the mini is sometimes not low anough, is the bypass adaptar a solution?

Marcel, the smaller the hose the less it interferes with your work.

I have not used the bypass adapter myself, so I can't really tell, but I think if it has some holes then some of the air will escape and not reach your sander, lowering the suction.

I guess that if you use the smaller 22 mm hose the suction will also be a bit lower than when you use the 27mm.

Regarding the 5m hose for track saw and other uses:

Do you also have an extended length power cord, since both are attached to the extractor?
