Any harm in a slot though a domino hole?

Okay, I screwed up.  I am making a rail and stile cabinet side, using dominoes to hold it together.  I put the domino holes right in the middle, forgetting that I was also putting the plywood panels also right in the middle.  But, I am not sure it really matters.

I put a domino in and it feels pretty secure; it doesn't lose any gluing surface on the faces.  Should be just as good as if I hadn't screwed up, doncha think?.
The wood is 1.5" wide, the slot for the plywood won't be deep enough to interfere with the dominoes on the rails.

i dont see it as an issue at all.I usually glue in plywood panels anyway at least at a couple spots so that adds strength too.JMO

I have done exactly the same thing yesterday for a set of six cabinet doors I dont see a issue. you could put in two dominoes side by side if you felt the need. I have not bothered.my rail/stile are 6cm wide

Done exactly the same thing myself on more than one occasion and its made no real difference to the end product.

Wish I could remember who came up with the idea, one of the FOG gurus, but someone suggested a narrow domino through cut followed by a wider shallow cut as a quick way to make a slotted hole for a screw.  I have used that many, many times!

It is not particularly germane to my question, but is a good idea.

Toller,
I don't see any problem at all with that.

Jesse,
Thanks for passing on the idea.

That was Bill-e in his thread, Something Simple Your Domino Can Do.
