Any info on potential January 2014 Festool Price Increase?

I'm in German right now for Xmas and New Year with my family before going back to Nigeria on the 8th.

I picked up the Festool "Gesamt-Preisliste 2014" (Total Pricelist) at my German Festool Dealer the other day.  They told me Festool averaging 2-3% increase for 2014 and the pricelist confirms that when compared to the same 2013 pricelist.

So... I would expect that our U.S. prices are about to reflect what is happening elsewhere.  [sad]

Oh...one more thing....
The German Pricelist DOES reflect the Protool products that are turning Green. All with product numbers and pricing! Germany also has a full color catalog of all the new products. Pretty slick!

I appreciate both the Shane saying as much as he could as well as the heads up on what is happening in Australia. 

I guess I'm looking at moving my purchase up from a Feb-March time frame to January to beat any price increases for 2014 that may or may not occur here in the US  [wink]

I wouldn't worry about a price increase seeking up on you without warning.  There's usually a month or more notice ahead of the increase.  Check in here every so often and you won't miss the price increase announcement.

Pricing Update

Just looked at website of my favourite dealer. Their discounted price for Kapex has risen  $100Aus.

Looking at the 2014 Germany Master Price list that went into effect today, the Kapex is now priced at €1391,11 including VAT.
That equates to €1169,00 without VAT, and at current exchange rates, that works out to US$ 1624.00  (The dollar is VERY weak at the moment, so don't know if this will be reflected on U.S. sites in the coming weeks) [crying]
