I continue to be asked about a 'Mini' First Aid Systainer for the house or car. So, let's explore that idea.

Here's the concept:

• Would be in a Mini-Systainer.

• Would have Red latch with white cross to identify it as a First Aid kit.

• Would be well-stocked for common household or mobile 'mini-emergencies'

• Target price of $100 or less. Not sure yet whether that could include shipping or not...

Questions:

1. First, is anybody interested before I spend time trying to design one? Please take a second and post a 'no' if you read this and aren't interested. That will help me get a feel for the consensus vs. just seeing a few 'yes' votes.

2. Since it would have a red latch with a white cross like its big brother, do you have a preference as to whether its in a Tanos Systainer, or a would you prefer a Festool one?

3. Do you want it to contain any meds (one or two of each if it does) or should it be limited to just first aid supplies?

4. Is there anything in particular you'd like to see it contain - or not contain?

5. Would you buy more than one - i.e., one for the house and one to have permanently in each vehicle?

Let me know your thought and ideas...

1 yes, interested

2 no pref on color, choose the least expensive

3 ambivalent, leaning towards no

4 no preferences, just be aware of the temp extremes that a car interior experiences,  For you, that could extend well below zero, for me in the desert, it can get well over 150F in the summer for extended periods of time while parked.

5 likely.  at ~$75, would probably get 2

I'm potentially interested.

Tanos is OK.  The Festool brand is an invitation to pilfer, if visible.

First aid only.

Nothing with a short shelf life, please.  If I choose to add meds, it would be simple and off-the-shelf, like aspirin.

One for the personal vehicle.  I have a larger one for the truck.
1. Yes
2. Prefer Tanos
3. No meds but leave a small space for some
4. Not really
5. Probably be up for 2

For your previous Systaid, there was just way too much stuff in there. I am down to a crew of one who listens when I my wife yells.  For me, I never really get myself messed up. well, hardly ever.

Only interested in first aid type of supplies. Bandaids, gauze roll bandages, small emergency type stuff.  NO meds or anything with shelf life.  Slightly interested for us (that's THE BOSS and I.  Might be interested for my son whose crew seems to be getting bigger and bigger all the time.

I don't know how the double image happened.  I am really not spider Man  :o

Yes.  If any meds, only something that could really help out an emergency- like an antihistamine and electrolyte tablets.  I've had wasps attack folks and getting an antihistimine into them quickly seems to help alleviate further issues.  Don't really care if someone has a headache.  100.00 seems about right.

I am absolutely interested in one for the shop. The original was a bit much for my purposes.

1. Yes
2. Tanos is good
3. First aid supplies would suffice. Maybe just a spot for a bottle of Motrin
4. As long as there's stuff to deal with blood loss and broken digits, I'm happy  [cool]
5. Definitely in for one, maybe two once I see the design and contents.

Wayne,

1. Yes
2. Tanos is OK
3. First aid supplies are great
4. Since this would probably end up in a vehicle, blood loss supplies in an accident would be important
5. With 3 of the big ones already 2 for cars would do it providing they are < $100.

On a similar note, you replied recently to a SAM question, if you went to their website as I did you will find that Dr. Sam and team have developed a few other first aid type products that could be helpful, unfortunatly it looks like the Chito-SAM is NAINA - go figure.

Reaction time to bee stings is different for different people.
For me, the danger zone was about 20 minutes.  I knew when the danger zone was near when my eyes and ears started to itch and I could see my cheeks.  By then, the BP was starting to plummet. One thing to not do when stung is to not panic and do not rush.  Keep your movements and if possible, your thoughts as slow as reasonably possible. That saved me many a time.  By time Epi-pen came out, i was nearly finished with desensitizing treatments.  That part took 5 years. Since destining, I have been stung a few times over the 30 years since with no reactions.  What is interesting about desensiting, they use live venom.

wow, I apollogize for going so deep into this bee sting stuff, but for anybody who may not now be allergic, that is no guarantee they never will be.  I was nearly 39 years old by the time i knew.  I was allergic for nearly as long as I have been 39.

1. Yes
2.I'd like to see a white box with red latches
3. no meds.  This is a kit that contains just life saving necessities and bandaids, gauze and such.  A kit that when something Gawd-awful happens or a really bad boo boo, I can reach for it immediately.
4. tourniquet (or room for one) and a blood clot kit are a must.
5. Just 1 for now.

1. Yes

2 Prefer a Festool!

3. Just first aid supplies

4. I'd prefer nothing that can freeze (It will live in the unheated garage workshop in the north east)

5. Just 1 for around $100 (shipping separate would not be an issue)

Thank you for your efforts

1. I'd be interested as well.
2. Doesn't matter on Tanos or Festool, though I'm assuming Tanos is cheaper.
3. Just first aid supplies to keep the cost down.
4. No opinion.
5. Pricing sounds about right.

1. Yes
2. No
3. I would say First Aid with room for elective meds, if possible.
4. No, but I know that by the time you are through all will be carefully considered.
5. Maybe

1. Yes
2. Either is ok
3. Room for adding to
4. Basic Aid to keep costs down--your regular sys is overkill for me.
5. Only one for shop use

1) Yes, I'm interested.
2) Tanos w/"Safety-Green" latches & "White" crosses.
3) Not necessary but room to add.
4) Weather proof interior. Maybe just in plastic bag. (*)
5) Three for vehicles.
    One for shop.
    Two for job gang boxes.
    One for boat. (*)
& and maybe three to give away for gifts.
