Any rumors about new routers?

Hi everybody! I've been enjoying the FOG for awhile now, but this is my first post. I am just a hobbyist when it comes to woodworking and fairly new to Festool... I have the TS55, CT26, and the ETS 150. Well, its time for the next Festool fix and I need a serious upgrade when it comes to my router. I have been using my old man's black and decker router...[eek] no idea how old it is. I am looking at the OF 1400 as I think it will give me the most versatility. I guess my question is....if there are any rumors or ideas when Festool will be releasing a new router? It would be an awfully tough sell to the Mrs. to upgrade again a few months later.

I haven't heard or read about new routers.  Also we usually get a heads up on new products (even if they aren't going to be available here) when they are released in Europe and the rest of the world.  The 1400 is a great all around router.  I predict you will not regret your decision.

A great router that offers (with practice) precision results.

Eg. creating rebates (rabbets) in combination with your track saw making a cut at required depth, followed by router with rail attachments.

Well worth the negotiations with 'senior management'.  [smile]

Don't forget the great resale value.  Check EBay for recent Festool sales, they are getting close 90% resale 6 months after a new issue is released.
