Any way to use a Festool sander w/standard 1.25" hose?

You can get the Festool hose sleeve seperately

One end always fits the Festool tools, and with some creativity or duct tape you can make the other end fit any hose you want.

Or with some creativity you can get even cheaper solutions. Before I had my CTL 22 I used this set up:

The black hose is from a garden system to water ponds, cost me 2,5 euros per meter. It fits snugly into the vacuum hose on one side and it also fitted the round dust port of my Rotex right away. It wasn't flexible though, so when I got the Deltex with an oval dust port, I had to improvise a bit more and add the white part. The white tube on the end is from a flexible doorstop that cost me 2 euros. I just cut off the end so it fitted the sander.

There's always a solution. Just browse all your local hardware stores from top to bottom.

Thanks very much for your detailed instructions - attaching a separate hose so the sander isn't permanently duct-taped to the vacuum is a great idea.

Can I ask how you like your DX-93? I'm trying to decide between that one and the Proxxon Multi-Master clone. I plan to use it to help sand&polish the exteriors of computer cases (mainly plastic and some metal).
