...like the 1980 version of 'The FOG'?

We used to host a 'Bad B' Sci-Fi movie fest at our home, since we had a projection TV that filled one wall of our Media Room. We'd pick a Saturday and everyone would bring their favorite beverage and the worst 'Bad B' Sci-Fi movie they could find. The winner of the day was whichever movie we couldn't stand to finish. Our all-time favorite (worst) movie was titled "Road Lawyers". It was truly so awful that we couldn't finish it, even with the help of multiple alcoholic libations.

So, what's your all-time favorite WORST Sci-Fi movie?

I can't get through most of the movies Sci-Fi wastes money on these days so it is hard to say which would be the worst... Sharknado?
Unless you are talking 'classics'... then maybe Zardoz. (though to be fair I did watch all the way through)
:)

Boy Wayne, you MUST be bored!  [blink]

OK.. well I thought I'd seen the worst Sci-Fi movies until I forced myself to sit through watching "This Is The End" last year.  Hard to believe that a number of "name" actors, including Emma Watson, agreed to star in this disaster (no pun intended).

Funniest Sci-Fi and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.... "Hot Tub Time Machine".  Real hoot!

Best Sci-Fi of recent production... "Avatar"

Cheers,

Frank

Sitting here in a hospital gown (don't try to picture that - it will destroy your eyes) there isn't a whole lot to do. I welcomed someone to 'the FOG' and then thought about the 1985 movie of that name starring Adrienne Barbeau (who was a childhood crush when she was a mouseketeer) and I ended up here!

Thanks for responding!

Anything with Quatermass in the title is going to be a real challenge to watch to the end !

Hey ... what about really bad sci-fi series - like MANTIS [eek] [huh]

Check out Plan 9 from Outer Space.  I believe it's on a list for worst sci-fi somewhere.  The main actor actually passed away during the middle of shooting and instead of starting over and reshooting they just replaced him with a completely different guy with a different shape, height, face, the whole gamut.  In some scenes the main actor (replacement guy) shrouds his face with a cloak in order to "be" the original actor who passed away.

I watched the whole thing with some friends during Halloween several years ago, and we died laughing at all of terrible props.

Snowbeast 1977.

I saw an unbelievably bad space movie a couple years ago (can't think of the name).  Lets just say that it was hard to believe that it was made after  Star Wars ! [blink]

Yes, that was one we watched one time but it was too 'good' to get in the running!

One title that comes to mind in the "so bad it's good" genre would be Dead Snow.  Nothing like having a camping trip interrupted by frozen nazi zombies.

I actually thought from the first season that MANTIS had some potential.

Then I got to the second season and whatever potential there might have been was completely obliterated.

Also reminded of that episode in season four of Airwolf where they hit a nuclear reactor with a laser to stop it from melting down...  I have the first three seasons of Airwolf on DVD.  I see no reason to complete the set  [laughing]

Seen too many to name them all. The latest on Netflix is "Battle Beyond the Stars". It had John Boy Walton as the hero. George Peppard and Robert Vaugh also signed up on this stinker. Took three sittings to get all the way through. Kind of like a wreck, can't stop looking.  [eek]

I kinda like " attack of the killer tomatoes". Not really sure if it's a really bad movie, or just reminds me of dinner at my mother in law's house.

I am now updating my "worst" Sci-Fi movie, EVER, after having had the misfortune of watching...or TRYING to watch "Under the Skin" with Scarlett Johannson(sp?).

The only draw was that she is nude in many scenes, but it certainly wasn't enough to undue the pathetic damage that this movie sucked from my braincells.

Avoid at all costs! You have been warned! [scratch chin]

Cheers,

Frank
