Anybody else not a fan of the new 27mm hose ends?

I feel like I'm somehow always knocking that bleed valve open a little bit and considering wrapping tape or something around it.

Not what I expected from the description of "new". I thought it was about the twist lock vs the older ribbed style. I guess "new" is relative?  [wink]
My CT15 has the hose with the bleeder valve, but I've never had an issue with it though.
Which tools are causing the problem?

The bleed valve is just adding more bulk. Something that was already in the assortment to buy if you'd like it... (I did by accident, costed me return shipping  [mad]), that nobody asked for... now standard. Added size, weight and cost.

I'm happy I bought my Midi when I did, because now it includes that stupid thing.

With the sanders, PS, OF... the hose end is already often the bottleneck in corners. And Festool made it worse... at nobody's request, by adding the dumbass bleed valve.

And ofc they immediately discontinued the older one without the valve. F**ng bullshit.

Never ever have I felt the need for a hose with a bleed valve.

Just another horrible change that is labeled by the folks in marketing as an "improvement"

I sometimes wonder who exactly is steering the design ship at FT and where they dream up some of this stuff.  They don't seem to ask their longtime core customers and often ignore them.

Second that. Latest gen Systainers as a prime example, along with the last change to the hose ends IMHO.

Good, then you buy one if you like it. Instead, Festool stuck us all with it and even discontinued the one without the valve.

Being you got snarky about it , I will off a simple solution: a dab of well placed epoxy will solve your entire problem.

HTH, HAND

Nope, the length and bulk is still there.
