I have the Trion, wondering if there is that much difference between that and Carvex

Michael Kellough said:I started with a D handle. With a variable speed saw it does make starting the cut a little easier
and it certainly makes stopping quicker. When I realized how much better the cuts in finished material are
when using the saw upside down I found the D handle to be a bit of a hindrance so my subsequent jigsaws
have been barrel grip.
I have a barrel grip Carvex on order.

We all know this strobe is pretty much a hit or miss function! Im sure Festool knows this and you should do.
Stroboscopic LEDs which pulse at the same rate as the blade, making it appear to stand still and also improving blade visibility (can be turned always on or always off as well)
30% of the time will the strobe actually go WITH the blade to create the stand still appearance! The % was with the Carvex 400 and the Carvex 420. I have used BOTH for a while now.
I find the LED's in strobe CAN often get in the way and make it MORE difficult to see! I simply flip the Carvex upside down which turns the LED's OFF and you can rotate the Carvex Back upright and they stay OFF only when you switch the carvex OFF and ON will they come back on. I do this pretty much 80% of the time. I might as well set LED's to be OFF and just switch them on FULL(not strobe) when needed Yes the LEDs do come in when its dark but most time they do my head in strobe mode.
Dont get me wrong I like the carvex 420 nice jigsaw!
I agree about the strobe it's hit and miss and really annoyed me so I just set it to permanently on

D-Handle gives you a variable speed trigger.
Barrel grip is more compact.
