Anyone else “teched up” their Sys-Roll?

I threw in a cheap ThinkPad running Linux and COS.

It has onboard backup power and an LTE hotspot built into the back of the tray along with a USB multiport. (I’ll take more pics.)

Wondering in anyone else had gone down this route and what good ideas are out there.

I should have mentioned that this enables me to have GPS tracking and a motion activated camera which goes up the back inside of the upright, so if I have to leave my stuff anywhere, I can get an alert if anyone tampers with it and can track it if it disappears for as long as the battery is running and it’s not figured out. (GPS and camera via an older Motorola Android unit, attached to onboard power bank. I use a hacked version of the AtHome app)

Very cool! Hopefully the tracking is never tested...

Thanks and me too! I only leave things on a site if absolutely unavoidable and it’s genuinely secure. But even then, you never know. I keep all my stuff on carts and rolls so it would be really really easy to steal a lot of tools and stuff in a very efficient manner. I guess that’s the curse in disguise of the entire system! Haha!
