I've noticed my little 110v pc1010 compressor is taking ages to fill. I just timed it and it takes around 4 minutes just to get to 4bar. I first noticed something was up when it seemed to take longer to refill and a couple of times it caused the motor to cut off after getting too hot.

If anyone here knows anything please let me know, how long does yours take to get to full pressure ?

Mine had a regulator stem leak. Any leak at all and these take a long time to fill.

The only thing I've noticed is a small plastic bung with mesh on it had fallen out of a hole on the motor. Air seems to be coming through a hole in the middle of the disc. It maybe normal I don't know. Something must be leaking somewhere. It's not used much so like new so I'm really surprised it's playing up

I have the 240v Senco, I've just timed it and it took slightly less than 2 minutes from empty to fill up.

Charge the compressor (does not have to be full), unplug it, unplug it, listener leaks, look for leaks with spray bottle of water. There are air charged piece in the cut off switch, you may have to pull the cover and check inside it for leaks.

Careful with getting the water in the electrical devices.

Can't find any obvious leaks and the pressure gauge isn't dropping. So I'm guessing its something else .

Not sure when I bought it maybe last year, I'll have to contact ffx

See if there is an intake filter. If it's restricted it will increase fill time. I don't recall if there is one.

Too be honest I don't fully know my way round the workings of a compressor. There is some sort of disc on the side of the motor with a mesh filter in it. Air seems to be blowing out of that though not in

Yeah it's an air filter 2y30qj03 , odd that air is coming out rather than sucking in.

I wonder if the filter incorporates the exhaust reed valve?

If so that explains both issues.

Don't think so it's just a plastic mesh like a bit of scouring pad

Anyone have any advice on what else to check ?

Just looked through my accounts and I bought it from FFX 2nd Jan 2015 so doubt it's under warranty still.

Really disappointed if it's broken as it's still like new ,I've hardly used it.

Cheers Tom, that should help. Think I'll check the reed valve

Took the top off and can't see anything odd looking. How do you know if valves are broken ?

I went through a similar situation with mine. Directly under the switch there is a small valve, like the valve stem on a bicycle tire. On mine it was sticking open slightly and it was enough to stop it from getting past 50psi. I added a little air tool oil and it seems to have worked. Try depressing that valve a few times with a small flat screwdriver and basically just by using it it seems to free it up.
Good luck with yours, hopefully it is a simple fix.

Yeah I had noticed air coming from that valve. I did press it with a flat screwdriver too. Did you just drop some oil onto the pin ? I'll try that
