Are CT26,36,48 tubs / tops interchangeable?

There has been some confusion on this subject in a couple of threads. For the sake of having  an easy to find definitive answer I am posting this question here in Ask Festool.  Mostly looking to get an official response that people can refer to rather than a discussion on the topic.

OK, the official word is.... the tops and bottoms of CT26 ,36, 48 are interchangeable with no issues. In other words the top of one  can be removed (like when changing a bag) and placed onto the bottom of another.

Note that several parts are needed to have a complete bottom unit not just the tub. Wheels etc.

The "tubs" or "buckets" for the CT 26, 36, and 48 are interchangeable. Anyone who would like to do this would need to contact our service department (number below in my signature) for the correct list of components which must be purchased individually. There is no kit available at this time. They can also provide pricing for the components which would consist of, at a minimum, the wheels, axles, bucket and screen.
