I'm thinking of storing hard drives and memory cards in a systainer TL1 ir TL2 with the SYS-VARI SE TL inserts, but because the equipment is sensitive to static discharge I'd like to know if the foam happens to be of the antistatic variety?

i dont know but a call to shane or festool direct will find out if they know. you could buy new foam from a computer parts storage place and put it in

You should wrap them in anti-static bags.  Just like what they come in when you buy a new one.  It will also help to keep humidity from affecting the components.

Calling up US Festool representative from across the pond with 6-10h time difference is a bit too complicated for the bother and the Finnish Festool importer has it's showroom miles away from where I live and it's open only between 9-17 so that's mostly a no-go since I have to work too.

Very few other hardware stores actually have anything Festool on show as they only deliver Festool equipment on order. Most hardware stores sell mainly Bosch, Dewalt and Makita machinery and have that on display. Even the largest one hereabouts only had one OF1010 and a TS55 on display and another carpentry specialty shop had a single CTL26 in their demo room  [sad]

Why I'm badgering everyone here with questions is that you might have the equipment in question in your shop and might even have first hand experience in using these tools  [wink]
