Well, I am! It would be great to catch up with some of our west coast FOGonians. If there's enough interest, maybe we can coordinate meeting for dinner one evening or something. So who's going?

Oh, and... Swing by and see us at Booth #4019 for your chance to enter to win Festool prizes and chat with us.  [wink]

Hi Shane and All FOGgers.

Indeed, YES, I am participating in AWFS in Las Vegas!

I will be arriving at Sunset Station in Henderson on Tuesday 19 July and checking out of that marvelous hotel on Saturday 23 July. My cunning plan is to be waiting when the doors open to those of us who pre-registered on Wednesday 20 July.

My understanding is that besides Shane many other Festool executives, reps and employees will be in the booth at AWFS. During the May D&D class I discussed AWFS with Steve Bace and Brian Sedgeley.

Besides wanting to meet everyone from Festool, I have appointments with executives from the manufacturers of large equipment I already own. A piece of equipment I have bought is being used by its manufacturer for show demonstrations. I will be fascinated seeing it in use with an audience.

I decided to stay at Sunset Station because I have been treated so well by the staff there during Festool classes. Just east of the hotel there is an on-ramp to the 515 freeway which as an off-ramp serving the Las Vegas Convention Center parking lot. Last November I tried an experiment and was delighted to find I can get from my room at Sunset Station to the AWFS convention faster this way than if I were to stay at the LV Hilton, wait for an elevator and walk a long ways across the parking lot.

Anyone else going to AWFS who would like to get together with me just send me a PM. Of course if you already have my cell phone number just give me a call during the show.

They certainly had a great booth at the last Las Vegas AWFS (2009) with many of their fantastic staff. I didn't see Shane, but Christian was there, and I think he also counts as a Festool executive.  [big grin]

I should have included a link in case folks are interested in learning more, so here ya go: http://awfsfair.org/

Nope, I wasn't at the last AWFS and to be honest I don't who all will be attendance this year from Festool other than Rick Bush, Brian Sedgeley, Steve Bace and myself. I'm sure we'll have a good group of guys there though.

Hopefully more FOG members will be in attendance so we can all meet up. John & Carroll, it will be nice to finally meet you both in person.

I'll be there!  I look forward to meeting the Festool crew and I'll definitely stop by the booth to say hello.

David,

Festool does not sell directly to users.  Festool dealers do not discount tools unless it is an announced program by Festool or the dealers are dealers who are selling their demo tools.

There is a thread going here on Rockler Ad that might explain better.

Welp, if you guys decide to get together while you're out there, I'd be honored to join. I'll touch down on Tuesday around 9am local time and leave Saturday after the show.

David, sorry I missed your question. There will be no show discounts but if you swing by our booth you can enter to win one of the power tools we're giving away.

My son and I will both be there Wednesday thru Friday.  I'm getting my son involved in wood working as he now has his own house. So hopefully I won't always here " Dad, what are you doing this Saturday, I have a project I would like some help on (meaning, i have something I need you to make for me)".  Look forward tos eeing everyone.  We didn't pre-register because we weren't sure we would be available.  Looking forward to the show, it's our first time. :)

The whole crew from In Touch will be at AWFS. Stop by our booth #9350 to say hi and to order your Festool products. We'll have some stock with us for those who wish to take Festool home with them. We're packing up the van as we speak, if it fits it's going!

Carroll, great to hear you will be at the show. Sounds like you have a full schedule, but we'd love to have you stop by and catch up with all of us.

We're looking forward to meeting Festool fans from all over as well as other Festool Reps and employees.

Hope to see you there!  [smile]

Jay, I will meet up with all of you at your booth as early on Wednesday as possible. My cell phone will be on and it works fine at the LV Convention Center.

Have a safe and sane trip.

Pretty busy day today at the Festool booth. Had a great time running some tools and talking to everyone that came by to see us.

On top of that, I have a GREAT tip to share with you that was shared with us by someone at the show for the Kapex. Remind me to post it next week when I'm back in town 'cause I'll need to snap some photos or take some video to demonstrate.
