Finished the install on the cabinets Fri Oct 3 at 1 in the afternoon. Get a call from the hotel on the beach they want a new boardroom top by Wed Oct 8th. My comment is I got a pair of saw horses and some plywood. Not a good response from them. However the all mighty dollar speaks and being efficient with the Festools helps. So here it is Tues Oct 7 at 4:52 table is on the truck ready for delivery at 04:30 AM. Hated to rush the finish but it I think they will be happy. All the cutting work on the  table was done with the OF 1400. Start another set of oak builtins on thursday. REcession what recession

Nice work Anthony --- and glad to see things are going well for you.  I always appreciate seeing people working and doing.

I'm busy like crazy too ;D I hope it stays that way as I'm in the process of moving into a bigger space!

The more crap I read and hear on TV the more I am afraid that business will slow not because of the economy itself, but from the darn news stories scaring people into not purchasing whether they have the finances or not.

When I checked sales September was bigger than any other month in 2008, but I am still worried.

Right Nick -- that's one of the reasons why I like to see people producing and showing their work as in this case --- the psychology of all this can not be denied.  A little positivity goes a long way.

I wonder if the news stories just lied and said everything has turned around and pounded that message for the next month with no negativity on the economy people would go out and spend and buy homes helping to fix part of the problem.

I just think we are getting into a catch 22, the more the media says its bad the worse it will get. I hope not.

Don't mean to move this more off topic (so my last comment on this), but I think you have to weigh things like this on the news ---- I do believe the financial situation is bad, but the news outlets don't mind scaring up a little business by making everything even more severe.  What ever happened to the "Bird Flu" ?  ----  I suppose the news media found a new crisis du jour and moved on --- as always.

Hey just one more thought on the economy. Why don't we all just disappear into the under ground economy and let those fat cats who screwed us up die on a vine. They want the bailout, from taxpayers dollars, while some of them like the Lehman Brother's chief are arguing whether he got $250 million or $450 million for his roll in the fiasco that may just cost us TRILLIONS!

It looks like as bad as it is housing jumped 7% in August, I did do well in September so it seems to relate. This month not one sale at all which is a first ever. Want an inlay? :)
