Hello Everybody,

My name is Achilles. Im fairly new into woodworking so i dont really have anything worth showing yet. However i can show you where i come from and some of my past projects in metal Sculpture. I guess this is a way of introducing myself to the FOG and posting some different projects.
Festool were my first serious woodworking equipment and FOG is one of the very best sources of learning for a beginner like me.

I would like to thank everyone in here who is sharing and supporting and wish you all every success in whatever you doing.

No offense but I am going to have nightmares tonight!!

I appreciate what you do but I think Tim Burton should ring you up!!!

Cheers. Bryan.

haha thank you Bryan!

They may look scary on the outside but they are very sensitive deep inside.

And i do hope Tim Burton rings me up ;-)

Cheers, Achilles

Very Very Very creative. You should show your work in a museum. Do you sell your work worldwide? Your are definitely and artist.
Cheers,

Hey mate,

Thank you for your comments.

I dont know about a museum but ive done a few exhibitions in London. I sell worldwide yeah but some pieces are a little sensitive for transportation without my presence.

Cheers

Get your clients to pay for personal delivery and you will get to see the world on their ticket.
Keep up the great work.
Cheers,

Very nice, visually stimulating sculptures.  Brings to mind the late great H.R. Giger.  I like the contrast between bone and metal.

There are still a few (perhaps very few) of us that enjoy when someone posts edgy art on here.  Thanks for sharing and welcome to the forum Achilles.

The Pope has recently announced a new School at the Vatican that will train priests to do exorcisms.

Maybe you could get exorcised at a discount from students who are learning!! [big grin]

Dark stuff you have there, but really AWESOME!  Excellent. [thumbs up]

Cheers,
Frank

ha ha Frank!  how do you know all this stuff--Have you been researching exorcisms from various addictions?!?

Actually, Achilles, I meant to tell you that I own a cow skull myself, along with a bear skull that I asked for and got for my birthday some years ago.  Have not put any metal to them but I enjoy looking at them in my studio.  I'm also fascinated by the Body Worlds exhibits by Gunther von Hagens--science and art coming together.

I had fun looking at your art and trying to identify the origin of some of the metal parts.  I recognize some router stuff, some sewing machine parts, etc.

Dude

your kind of twisted... but I kind of like the little walking rat thing...

whats that make me ???

where kind I buy

Teocaf, If i kept working on my sculpture at the moment id wanna buy ur bear skull ;-). must look very nice. why dont u post a pic?
Im glad u enjoyed my work. i used to collect any metal component came to my mind without even knowing the use of it. i later on discovered what it was originally for but if it was good for my eyes it was enough for me.
Good eye on the parts.

Cheers, Achilles

Achilles,
Welcome!

I think you'll find that TIG doesn't work too well on wood for joinery.

Luke,

I never used any kind of welding or glue in my Sculpture.
i do however use adhesives on wood. maybe i should make mechanical joints like Psyteks ;-)

Cheers,
Achilles

Achilles, welcome!  Glad to have someone with that sort of craftsmanship and creative to add to the collection of misfits ;)  Do you sell your work?  Anyway for an American to purchase?  It's flat out awesome.  Some very cool stuff.  Have you seen the documentary "Jodorowsky's Dune"?

Hello Sean,

Thank you for ur kind words.

I do sell my work yeah mostly throughout exhibitions ive done in the past. Also worldwide but international shipping without my presence can be a bit tricky for some pieces. You know how they treat packages no matter how well wrapped they r especially for these ones. all joints are mechanical without any glue or welding which means something might come off or losen up when it arrives. always depends on the piece but for someone whos working with tools wouldnt be a problem to put back in place ;-) For other collectors it is best for me to deliver the work and display it myself.
Is there any specific item ud be interested in? My website is down at the moment but u can have a look at my instagram page @psyteksworld instagram.com/psyteksworld

And yeah it would be unacceptable for me not to have watched the Dune. ive watched everything that Giger has been a part of.

Cheers,
Achilles
