Hey all, looking for the greatest hits on the MFT. (I have the TS55, two routers, Domino, etc.. Been playing with in the shop for a while, never got around to the MFT though... Until now.)

Qwas dogs are already on the list.

I remember reading about a plastic piece for the flag stop, but can't find it.

I'll figure out a boom arm... Unless someone has one of the wall-mounted versions they'll part with for cheap?

What else?

James,

Will you move the MFT/3 around a lot?

If you're not going to move it around then think about saving the money for the boom arm and use bungees hanging from the ceiling....

that's what I've been working with for the past couple years.....the money I would have spent on the boom arm went towards a RO125.

Just my two cents.......I've never used a boom arm, but find the price a bit crazy for lifting a hose off the ground.    [unsure]

It'll be a mix of shop and site work. Not enough site work to justify a boom arm. A wall mounted boom would be cool, but those are pricey.

maybe for the plastic flag stop you were thinking of THIS    further down in the same thread is a little more about it HERE

if thats what you are referring to i will save you some reading and explain that i had bought a festool flag stop for the mft3 (what my dealer had and not knowing there was a difference)  to use on my mft 800.  the aluminum fences are different between the mft800/1080 and the mft3.  before i found out that there is a flag stop available for the older mft's i found this woodpeckers stop and modified it to work for me.  i cant say whether or not it would work with a mft 3 (i have a feeling it will not)

on a seperate note, you will never regret buying the Festool Clamping Elements
