I picked up a used ATF 55 and just noticed the metal part of the DC chute is cracked off. There is no rubber part there, not sure if there's supposed to be. I'm assuming it was probably dropped. Anybody experience this? Is there supposed to be a rubber part, or did the hose attach directly to the metal part of the cover?

I see the parts are available as service parts, not sure I want to spend $60.

I have never noticed a rubber part on my dust chute, although there was a plastic part (that could be removed) that swivelled if you were not using a vacuum. Since I bought the CT22, I have no idea where it is. It actually could have been made of rubber.

Any way that you can epoxy something onto the housing and make a new dust chute?

The hose is directly attached to the metal. Inside for the 27mm hose, outside for the 36mm. A rubber deflector was included with the ATF55 for using the saw without a vacuum.

Boinnnggggg!!!!!!!  I have been reorganizing and cleaning up my shop.  I came across a little rubber sleeve elbow that i could not determine what it belonged to.  I just threw it into the drawer containing DC fittings and sleeves figuring I would find out where it came from some day.

Thanks for the info.  With two CT's, (a 33 and a 22), a Milwaukee shop vac and a PennState Dust Collector, I don't think i will ever need that part, but atleast I can now put a label on it.

It's amazing what can be discovered when you start digging in to 4 or 5 years of unused but saved goodies. (My wife calls it "junk") i have even discovered i have a floor in there under all of the debris.  i now pile all that hasn't found a home,( in either a drawer or on a designated shelf) in front of the shop door.  Keeps The Boss Lady from snooping  :o ::) ;D ;D ;D
