ATF 55 E guide plate not flat

I was using my old ATF 55 the other day and noticed the guide plate does not seem to be flat. On any surface including rails it rocks back and forth. Seems to be high on the right front and back left corners. I haven't investigated in detail as I had some work to do and it didn't require precision cuts.

Is this something that can be adjusted, or is it a parts replacement thing? I didn't see anything in the manual about adjusting the flatness of the plate, just it's position relative to the blade etc.

Careful application of a rubber or plastic hammer through trial and error is going to be the best alternative.  I've straightened a few metal bases on various tools with this method.

Seems reasonable. I assume working it with the rubber mallet is done with the plate removed from the saw?
