[size=14pt]What would you use to attach a Marble Slab to an Island Bench?

Is there a mechanical system? Or would you use adhesive silicon? How about PVA?  Are there other products, ways and ideas?

With appreciation for your ideas or comment.

I would and have used silicone, but I am a total cowboy who shouldn't be allowed near nice things.

Does seem to be holding well at our house anyway.

Silicone is the norm for granite/marble countertops so it depends on the installation. Is there an overhang? If not id use silicone also.

Silicone - but make sure its neutral cure. I've heard of acetic cure bleeding through marble, though I've never seen it myself.

Liquid nails makes a specific adhesive for marble and granite - works very well, non staining.

Thanks, I appreciate your reply.

However that product is unfortunately NADU [not available down under]. Sellys distributes liquid nails in Australia and they are a seperate company from that producing liquid nails in NA.

So it will be silicon: pictures shortly. Other projects on the go at the moment.
