Attaching boom arm to CT36

Is there a trick to attaching the boom arm?

I have it pushed onto one of the four accessory holders at the bottom and have attached the black clamp to the boom arm and the handle.

The problem is, when the boom arm rotates and hits the stop, the lower part of the boom arm just keeps twisting.

The clamp is done up very tight.
The spring is in place but I can't see it helping much unless I am doing something wrong.

Any ideas?

The clamp at the handle is not designed to prevent such a twist.  I have the older CT22, and the lower tube of the boom arm has a cutout (or wide notch) in the bottom where it fits onto the lower 'holder' -- it is this cutout, or rather the remaining area that is not cut out that prevents the tube from twisting more than a few degrees.  Doesn't the lower tube of your boom arm fit into the lower holder like this?

The boom arm didn't fit well into the lower holder, but with a bit of persuasion it does now.

When I attached mine, I drilled a hole through the tube and the plastic of the tool holder, then sent a bolt through to stop the twisting.  The plastic of the tool holder is pretty robust, I have never had a problem since then.

If I can figure it out I will post a picture later.

P.S.  I cut the bottom of the tube on mine to fit into my rather short shop (only 7 foot ceilings, with a drop down for a main bean) so I don't even have that notch anymore.
