I decided to make a better looking trim setup for attic access as the old one was falling apart and was only painter cheap door trim. So I fired up the KAPEX and went to work. I used the old pieces for a template so I would get a decent fit. I used four mm dominos in the mitered corners to add strength to the frame. Please note that none of the mitered cuts have been adjusted. This is the way they came straight off of the KAPEX. I could not bear to throw the offcuts away as they were fairly consistent looking. Hence I made a coaster using twelve four mm dominos to hold the little guy together.

Okay one last mitre. The point is the frame just fit together this well with no truing of the mitre cuts. A testament to the quality of the cuts produced by the KAPEX!

So I took the offcuts and using four mm dominos assembled them into a cool looking coaster to set my soft drinks on.
