It has probably been brought up already but,
is there a way to get a attic lid without buying a empty systainer?
I am putting a drill systainer and want a place for some bits.

I would love to have the installers set,but it's a bit out of my budget right now.
Christmas and all.
Thanks for the help in advance,
Charlie

You should be able to order it directly from Festool. Or your local dealer can order it for you. I had a dealer order an attic lid for me before they were available in the US.

702082 Cover w/ compartments: $25.16

702083 Klarsichtklappe (cover): $13.78

You can buy just the green attic latch too (702081 Latch: $3.71)
but please note that it is definitely included with 702083

Thanks for the help.
Seems kinda spendy though, may just buy a whole systainer.
Thanks again,
Charlie

I just bought 2 attic systainers and they were about 90.00 each shipped to my door from Europe to NJ.

Where did you order them from?

Lee Valley sells Tanos Syst IIs with the attic lids ($74.00). I've bought three and then changed the lids to different size Systs to suit my needs.  The last on ended up on a Syst V that holds my Senco compressor.  The attic is perfect for various nozzles and fittings.

How does the color match up between the Festool and Lee Valley "grey"?

The Festool light gray  is the same as the Tanos light gray from Lee Valley. If you are swapping lids from a new one to an older one it is possible that a slight miss match will appear due to sunlight working on the color.

Thanks.  Both would be new.  I liked the idea @Cheese had of swapping an attic lid onto the Installer's kit.  Would rather have a complete Sys to use after instead of just an extra lid.

I did this last year when I ordered a Festool attic lid before they were available in the U.S. I just framed out the bottom of the extra Tanos lid and attached locking casters. Then ordered an extra Festool latch from my local dealer.

Very smart!
Never seen anyone using a regular lid this way.
Takes less space then the SYS-CART.
Is there no change of capsizing?

I haven't done so yet. I never thought about that though [member=7673]neeleman[/member] , that's a good question. It's super stable,  especially with the weight of the tools helping to keep it all grounded.

Can you show us a picture of the underside of the lid-carts?
Or tell us how it's made.
