[member=50443]vogel61[/member] I'm curious, you say that you didn't finished the proper printing. Do you mean that you found a way to print the labels on the bit holders yourself?

Here is my Attic setup. I haven't finished the proper printing for the drills, 5mm is actually 6mm and 6mm is actually 7mm.

I did remove the original printing on the bit holder to the right (apologies for the picture being rotated 180°, it looks proper on my mobile display) with fine grid sandpaper, then fiddled around alot with my DYMO label printer printing icons for the philips and slotted bits on transparent stripes. If you look closely, it is not perfect, but it works for me. I did not do rhis work with the wooden drills, because I  have 4/5/6/7/8/10mm in the holder with original printing for 4/5/5/6/8/10mm. I  will fix this later. Just wanted to share that it can be done  quite easily (if you can spare some time).

[member=50443]vogel61[/member], I surely could live with it. It is close to perfect.

Thanks for sharing!

Ok guys, Got my attic sys today. So tomorrow Im goig to put the C 18 drill in it along with some things that I dont have space for in my installers set.I might get another one for the C12 and the PS jig saw. Great way to store jig saw bits

So I talked to my customer who turned one bit holder around. He said he needed to reduce the diameter of one of the pivots to get it to work.

You can flip the tray inserts 180 degrees and snap them in upside down. It works for the two outside trays with out and modification. But the center tray need a little of the top edge clipped off to make it fit under some plastic tabs on the top.

THIS IS MY FAVOURITE TOPIC ON FOG SO FAR! I LOVE TO SEE PEOPLE ORGANIZING STUFF!!! [thumbs up] [thanks] [thanks] [thanks]

I swapped out the normal lid with an attic lid on my Installer Set and keep various bits and nut drivers in it.

I'm liking these attic lid systainers more all the time.  The only problem I have is forgetting to lock the lid before opening the Tloc.  I'll figure it out eventually. :-

Photo 1 Shows the two out side trays upside down
Photo 2 the tab that will not allow middle tray to be flipped
Photo 3 area of tray that needs to be removed
Photo 4 has the plastic ground away
Photo 5 all three trays flipped and installed upside down
Photo 6 this is the area of plastic removed to make it fit under the tab

Note: the middle tray must be installed under the tabs first and the opposite end forced down hard to get it in.

Great idea, I also keep forgetting to lock when I open up the sustainer.  [tongue]

Is there a retailer that actually sells replacement attic lids for Festool systainers? I know that Lee Valley has the Tanos systainer with the attic lid, but I just want the actual lid ...

I have seen them on Bob Marino's Festool store  website.

Festool sells them as an accessory as well as Tool Nut I believe.

I don't think Tool Nut has them anymore - at least I couldn't find them on the site.

Is the lid available as a complete package or do you need to buy separate parts (lid, cover, plastic dividers, etc)?

I checked on these about a week ago and could not find them on the Tool Nut site. I sent a PM to Shane and he replied that Festool changed the scope of delivery requiring some of the parts to be ordered separately. They did not think the resulting pricing made sense and they are no longer offering the attic lids.

I'm paraphrasing, Shane can probably clarify the details.

Bummer...I purchased my last one from Tool Nut for $31.37, part number 702082.

They got a lot more expensive. $80! Festool products are getting ridiculous.
