Auf Wiedersehen Germutlichkeit

I find it disheartening that Festool has abandoned  us.
They are certainly conspicuous in their absents.
Are we lepers cast away on a Island of saw dust, waiting for an occasional
systainer to wash ashore.
Do we have a fatal malady  with no hope of ever finding a cure that causes them
to shun us.
It was so comforting knowing that we were close to the makers of the tools that we love,
and that we were a part of something that contributed  to the woodworking
knowledge of the world.  Now we seem to be Persona non Grata.
And to top it all off the FOG  has reached out For the Karma Kops to keep us in line.
What's to Like ?

having a beer with good friends. getting  together for germutlekeit

Sorry, I'm not trying to be Mr Knowitall, and my German isn't that good, I just remembered a chant from student drinking parties:
"Ein Prosit, ein prosit
Der Gemutlichkeit!" (x2)   ("A toast to cosiness/what Bob said")

It appears to be spelled both ways.

Wikipedia's spelling is germutlichkiet.

Maybe it's a Bavarian thing.

Without speculating, let's just say that there are probably good reasons why Festool employees no longer get involved in discussions here, and those reasons go beyond the scope of this forum.

However, they have not abandoned us.  I'd like to remind everyone that the monthly contests are made possible by generous donations of tools from Festool.  Also, even though employees of Festool do not write responses to posts, they do read what's going on here.  Finally, I'm in regular offline communication with people at Festool, and our connection is just fine.

So, Bob and others, don't be disheartened!

I didn't realize we had so many linguists on this list.... but then we are an international group.... So, can anyone tell me just what "Kapex" means in whatever language? Is it a REAL word or just a combination word like the VW Tiguan? As I understand it, "Tiguan" comes from two animals.... Tiger and Iguana.... seems like a curious animal combination to name an SUV.... and while we're at it, what does ATF stand for? And was there possibly ever a thread here explaining all the other codewords like ETS, LS, RAS, DF 500 Q, TS, PS, PSB and last but not least, CT.....
