Everyone,
It's time to begin the fourth monthly tool contest!  Once again, Festool is generously providing a great tool for the winner.

This month's categories:
Any project posted in the Member Projects board or the Adult/Child Projects board is automatically entered in the contest.  Also included are projects posted in the Jigs, Inventions, Tool Enhancements board.

This month's prize:
A CT 22 Dust Extractor.  The winner will be announced on September 1.

This month's Judges:

Brice Burrell
Matthew Schenker

Remember, as long as your project is posted in the "Member Projects" or the "Jigs, Inventions, Tool Enhancements" boards, you are automatically entered in the contest.

Sorry!  I wish we could make this contest international, but I don't know how that would happen.

On a related matter -- we need a new judge for this month.  Greg Mann is not going to be able to do it this month.

I'd like Per Swenson to be a judge. He's very meticulous and knowledgable about the use of many festools. Does a Damn fine write up as well.

I suggested Michael in a PM to Matt. I wouldn't mind sitting out a bit. The rest of the year is full for me anyway, getting married, and I agree Michael would make a great judge. What say, Michael?

Good Afternoon,
All right, now that the prize is all arranged with Festool (thank you Christian), and before the judges start debating offline, let's hear what projects everyone likes for this month.  Name your favorite three, or four, or five projects!  Even better if you say why you like them.  Then we can then go from there.

Remember, anything in the "Member Projects" board or the "Jigs, Inventions, Tool Enhancements" board is automatically eligible.

Oh, and by the way, we still need another judge for this month.

Hello to all the judges. In member projects I posted my latest piece but I posted all the build (95 Pictures with detailed instructions) in my gallery. I tried for hours to move everything but with no results. I did put a link to it though. I decided to build one similar to the previous one I built because it got 1000s' of hits. I figured that was enough interest to justify a step by step build for those who would like to give it a try.

The judges are conferring offline about our favorites for this month.  But in the meantime, we need to also hear what everyone else thinks.

Remember, this contest is meant to keep alive all great projects, no matter how long ago they were posted.  One of the original inspirations for the contests was to help bring those projects back up front that may not have been seen for a while.

So, as you consider your favorites for this month's contest, make sure to scan back through all the great ideas in the "Member Projects" or the "Jigs and Inventions" boards.

After you do that, jump in and let us know -- which are your favorite projects for this month?

Of course I'd like to win again with my step by step build of my Humidor but the first few that come to mind would be:
10 Digits entertainment center
Robert Robinsons Vanity.
Mike Chrests' historical hand rails.
Frank Pellows' log cabin
Woodgeeks water stand   
My Domino jig-A-Ma-thing
Timmy Cs' conference table
Neilcs' jewelry box
Looks like we can add Steve jones to the list too.

It's a good thing I can modify my post. It keeps getting longer. ;D

This list could get huge. There's a lot of skills floating around here.

The book cases are a fantastic build but w/o a step by step build, it puts it in the catagory of my big Humidor. Great work but no build. This would be a call for the judges.

Another tight competition for the judges. I don't envy tour task.

Thanks for putting that list together!  Those are all great projects.  Offline, the judges are also communicating about projects we favor this month.

It does seem like there is too much talent for just one prize each month.  Perhaps I need to figure out a way to get a 2nd and 3rd place prize going?

What do other members think?  What are your favorite projects for this month's prize?  Remember, go back through the projects to find ones from a while ago as well as the more recent ones.

Thanks Bill. I appreciate the recognition. I'm proud of it because it is my first attempt at it. I actually went shopping for a granite top today, and I think we found one we like. I do believe there is way better projects than mine that deserve a prize though. I'm finishing the raised panel door this weekend, and maybe I could get some more pictures of it Monday. Thanks again Bill.

There is a slight problem in that I have recorded  two projects here that could meet your description.  I assume that you are referring to the log construction kit (thread:http://festoolownersgroup.com/index.php?topic=3551.0) and not to the thread where I described how I am refinishing my log cabin.
