I picked up some Auriou rasps the other week. One cabinet maker's, one modeling and one rat tail (all 10-13g). Having never used one, I don't have a basis for comparison, but I put them to task cleaning up some coped baseboards. I love how these feel. I hogged the meat away with a jigsaw, then cleaned it up with the rasps. After 10 minutes of fussing I was able to dial in the profile nicely (except I chipped the top lip). I used to think coping inside miters was so tedious, but it's kinda fun! These rasps are overkill for such a task, but they certainly feel nice in the hands of this aspiring woodworker! I'll practice my coping skills trimming out my basement and hopefully do the crown in the office and master bedroom this winter.
